Hi, Iām Staggs (they/them)
Hail and well met! Iām Staggs (they/them), and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate from the University of West Alabama. I am passionate about meeting people on their journeys, and assisting them in removing barriers along their path.I am particularly called to work with those who identify with any and all of the following: LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, neurodivergent, fat, disabled, sex worker, teacher, burnt out gifted kid, and more! I want to integrate any and all of the things that matter most to you into our sessions, because the therapeutic process should be fun and engaging! I aspire to foster a safe and inclusive space where one can hunker down, sit like a bisexual, grab a pillow or fidget to squeeze, and be entirely, unabashedly you as we navigate this journey together.
I have an eclectic theoretical approach to counseling, meaning it is ever evolving, differentiated to ensure equitable and culturally conscious care. I work through an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens, as I continue to learn and integrate more approaches along the way.
I have had experience in exploring challenges regarding gender, sexuality, trauma, anxiety, and OCD.
Wherever you are, wherever you are going, my hope is to collaborate with you to identify and remove obstacles, promote healing, and maybe cash in some of that xp to level up.
