Hi, I’m Sebastian Harton
MSW Intern
Hello! My name is Sebastian Harton (he, him, his). I am an MSW Student at the University of Georgia and an intern at Roll for Wellness, under the supervision of Ariyanna White, LCSW. As someone who holds several “othered” identities (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, plus-sized), I know firsthand what it means to be marginalized and pressured to feel shame about who you are, what you look and act like, and the way in which you move through the world. One of my biggest motivators for pursuing a professional future in mental health social work is helping people tune out external noise, embrace their identities, and wear them proudly. Further, I am deeply passionate about human sexuality and how it relates to other parts of our relationships. I intend to operate from a place of consistent sex positivity and advocate for open and honest discourse, whether about kink, polyamory, sexual trauma, etc. Other sociocultural areas of interest that I am excited to explore with clients include issues related to the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations, as well as body positivity/size inclusion. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University, and I eagerly look forward to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the years to come, with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed sex therapist.
Investment:
I am available for individual, remote therapy sessions. My suggested fee is $50 for an hour-long session, but there is a sliding scale for anyone who needs it (ranging from $25 to $85, for those who want to donate to our cause of providing excellent care). I also offer neurodivergent-affirming case management appointments (available to anyone and everyone) at no cost (donations are welcome). Use or contact page or contact me at interns@rollforwellness.com to discuss availability and to book an appointment for either therapy or case management.
Personal Interest:
I am a huge advocate for self-care and giving yourself permission to lean into your own sources of joy whenever possible. A core personal passion of mine in cinema: I have a rather large collection of physical media, love spending time in movie theaters, and love discussing, analyzing, and obsessing over exciting, original, weird, and thoughtful films and television series. My favorite genres are dark comedy, coming-of-age, comedy, drama, horror, thrillers, and musicals. I am also passionate about art forms like theater, music, literature, comedy, and photography. Other sources of joy for me include hanging out with my friends and family, going to restaurants, swimming pools/beaches, and I’ve recently gotten into activities centered on deep relaxation, like a day at the spa or a session in a sensory deprivation tank.
