Individuals with ADHD are often driven by a search for constant stimulation due to a lack of dopamine production, which, in some cases, can lead to a rapid onset of intense feelings towards others. This can lead neurodiverse folks whose brains produce less serotonin and dopamine to be more susceptible to the strong feelings of attraction and affection created by limerence, which releases these same hormones.
