Case Management

Roll for Wellness wants to support our neurodivergent friends in the many ways that they need support. One of the ways is case management.

Case Management is offered by MSW interns for free.

What Case Management Is (and Why It Can Be Helpful)

Case management is a meeting in which you talk to someone who helps you set goals, manage systems, and build skills to reach your goals.

Essentially, case management is a collaboration between you (the client) and the case manager (Giardno & De Jesus, 2023).

What to Expect

Case management appointments are virtual. Expect to set aside about 45 minutes for your first appointment so we have plenty of time to understand your needs. You should also expect a shorter follow-up appointment to assess whether your case management needs have been met, and assist you further if you still need help.

Case management support can help with:

  • Breaking down complex tasks into smaller, more manageable parts

  • Identifying available resources

  • Navigating available resources

  • Reducing overwhelm

  • Creating a safe space, free from judgment

  • Building skillsets that make future tasks easier

Examples:

  • Finding affordable services (doctor, therapist, educational advising, coaching, etc.)

  • Organizing next steps

  • Identifying barriers and workarounds

  • Assistance with scheduling appointments
